As May turned into June the first intrepid sailors flew into the South of France for some sailing – the water is slowly warming up so only the brave ventured in – Light sailing weather, new anchorages and chaos in the kayak meant tired heads found pillows after relaxing days and strong coffee kick started the mornings.
Round One saw Jacki & Waffaa sipping wine while Elias and Finlay kept the skipper on his toes.
Round Two with James and Sarah started with plenty of tequila and the discovery of the mix of red peppers and anchovies (great one James) while Cap Ferrat won best anchorage and James steered us along the coast.
Round Three – Elia, Seaman Nestor and the McGriffin duo left the boat and our liver’s wine stained. Books and sunshine with even a trip to the Picasso museum ensued. Another great anchorage between the islands off Cannes added to the list before both the Skipper and Frank bid them farewell and collapsed from exhaustion.
